The biggest of thanks to everyone who attended and helped out at our annual Summer Fete yesterday. A grand total of over £450 was raised to help fund the centre and activities for our students. A huge well done do all our hard working students and staff who organised the refreshments for Chadsgrove School’s sports day. On sale were scones, hot drinks, ice lollies, sweets and various other delicious treats. We were blessed with some absolutely scorching sunshine for the day which meant the colder items on sale went down a storm with our sun-kissed customers.

Our students have loved taking part in our animal care sessions. Important skills such as basic handling, feeding, cleaning and everyday needs are all covered.
Students have been hard at work crafting various Mother’s Day Themed items to sell as part of their Enterprise classes. Plant Holders Candles Toiletry Gift Sets ‘Mug of Love’ Wooden Hearts In just one day they made a whopping £38 profit! Well done to all involved.
Our Tasty Treats Tuck Shop enterprise scheme has stepped up its operations to include daily trips around Chadsgrove School selling a smaller range of produce. Using a custom built usherette tray, made from a recycled tray and straps, staff and students are hoping to increase profits by meeting the increasing demands of their customers.
Tasty Treats Tuck Shop, the student ran tuck shop service that sells tasty treats within Chadsgrove school is still going strong. Each week students are involved in preparing the treats, getting the trolley ready and selling the produce in school. All the profits go towards funding more fantastic activities within our college. Our first term of running a Books Beyond Words club at Bromsgrove Library has been a great success! Students have been on weekly outings to the library where they are working in a small group reading the popular series of books. Books Beyond Words are picture based stories with important messages about all of life’s difficult subjects. Another massive thanks to the Tim Henman Foundation for our new Eyegaze system! Eyegaze is critical to providing a method of communication to people that otherwise may not have one. Using only eye movement to enable selection of words, phrases & icons, Eyegaze is a fantastic way for some of our young people to interact with the world.
The biggest of thanks goes to the Tim Henman Foundation for our new Medi-Motion bike! Exercise and activity is critical to everyone’s well-being, so we strive to include some in our lessons every single day. The Medi-Motion bike lets our students exercise in complete safety and at a level appropriate to their own specific requirements.
